The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) said it plans to resume flights by the airlines of Taiwan (China), Hong Kong (China), South Korea, and France once Covid-19 safety is assured. CAAV Deputy Director Vo Huy Cuong said airlines must guarantee safe conditions when they resume their flights. The CAAV will carefully consider the situation in each country and make recommendations to regulators.
Vietnamese airlines say they are ready to operate international flights as they did before the pandemic. They have prepared marketing and information campaigns to stimulate demand.
Dang Anh Tuan, Chief of Vietnam Airlines’ Communications Board, said it has organized special teams to be in charge of resources, crews, and trade policies for the regions, markets, and routes.
The Ministry of Transport has directed the CAAV to recommend a date to ease travel restrictions and resume international flights and submit the recommendation to the Prime Minister before June 10th.
