Day 1: Hanoi
Arrival day, there are no planned activies.
Day 2: Hanoi
After meeting your guide, check out some of Hanoi’s finest sites, including Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (except Monday & Friday), One Pillar pagoda, Tran Quoc pagoda, Temple of Literature (the Vietnam's 1st university), Fine Arts Museum (where you can find the most famous collection for Vietnam's painting, handicraft.), Museum of Ethnology, Ngoc Son Temple on the Hoan Kiem Lake. Vietnam’s traditional Water Puppet Show should not be missed!
Day 3: Hanoi - Halong - Sleep on boat (L-D)
7.30am: Our guide meets you at your hotel before boarding the bus for Halong Bay. Upon arrival, lunch will be served on our boat, and then we cruise through picturesque scenery with hundreds of limestone islets. In afternoon, we stop to visit Thien Cung, Dau Go or Sung Sot grottos. This is followed by 2-hours of kayaking or swimming. Enjoy a delicious dinner before having a romantic, relaxing night on the boat.
Day 4: Halong - Hanoi B-L)
Waking up to sea birds and wave and the sound waves, enjoy your breakfast while we cruise back to Bai Chay. Our experienced guide allows ample time for questions and photographs with 3 hours of sailing on peaceful and magical waters of Halong. Lunch is served in a local restaurant in Halong City before traveling back to Hanoi. Arriving Hanoi at 5.00pm you will conclude your journey after a short refreshment stop where you have the opportunity to buy some souvenirs or have drinks.
Day 5: Hanoi - Hoa Lu - Tam Coc (L)
8am: Pick up from hotel and departure for Ninh Binh province (92kms south of Hanoi). Visit the temples of Dinh and Le Emperors. Transfer to Tam Coc for lunch. Afternoon, we take rowing boats to visit the stunning 3 water caves. The remainder of the afternoon is yours to further explore the town.
20h30: Depart for Hue by Open Tour Coach.
Day 6: Hue
8.30: Arrival in Hue, check in at hotel and then some free time to explore this fascinating city. Recommended sites: Royal citadel, Fine-art museum, Dong Ba market.
Day 7: Dragon boat trip on Perfume river (L)
Today we cruise the waters of the Perfume River to visit Thien Mu Pagoda, Hon ChenTemple, Minh Mang Tomb. Lunch is served on the boat. Afternoon we visit Tu Duc and Khai Dinh Tombs. O/N in Hue.
Day 8: Hue - Hoi An
Transfer to Hoi An via Hai Van Pass. Afternoon: Free to visit Hoi An old ancient town and shopping. Recommended sites: Japanese Covered Bridge (Lai Vien Kieu or Cau Nhat Ban), Tan Ky House (was built two centuries ago as the home of a well-to-do ethnic Vietnamese merchant), Family Chapels, Pagodas, other ancient houses such as 77D Tran Phu that was built 3 centuries ago, Tran Duong house on Phan Boi Chau street and Diep Hong Nguyen house on Nguyen Thai Hoc street, ...
Cua Dai Beach is only 4km away, so jump on bikes and explore! O/N in Hoi An.
Day 9: Hoi An - My Son (B)
Breakfast at hotel. Pick up at your hotel and drive to visit Mi Son Holy Land to explore the old architecture of Cham People. Our return to Hoi An will onboard a small fishing boat on the Thu Bon River. Stop at traditional handicraft (ceramic and wood carving) villages before arriving at your hotel.
19.00: Leave for Nha Trang by Open Bus Tour.
Day 10: Nha Trang
6.00: Arrival in Nhatrang, check-in at hotel. Relax beach side or take a stroll around this vibrant city!
Day 11: Nha Trang boat trip (L)
8.30: Pick up at your hotel and transfer to the wharf to begin our boat trip. At Hon Mun you will be able to enjoy snorkeling on the extraordinary coral reefs covered by many species of wonderfully colored fish. After lunch on the boat near Hon Mot, a floating bar will be opened on the sea where you can float, chat and enjoy a cool refreshing drink! At Hon Tam, you can enjoy such adventure activities as parasailing, jetski and diving or relax with tropical fruits on the boat. A visit to Hon Mieu and rowing bamboo-baskets will conclude your full day trip on the Nha Trang bay. Transfer back to your hotel.
Day 12: Nha Trang - Mui Ne
Depart for Mui Ne by bus, on arrival check in at our beach side bungalows. Relax on palm-lined beaches or hire a jeep to visit nearby area with its well-known giant sand dune, perfect for sunsets!
Day 13: Mui Ne - Sai Gon
13h00: Departure for Sai Gon. Arrival and check in at the hotel. Free time to shop, relax or explore. O/N in Sai Gon.
Day 14: Sai Gon - Cao Dai Temple - Cu Chi tunnel (B)
7.30: You will be picked up at your hotel to visit the Great Temple of Caodaism in Tay Ninh, about 100 km from Ho Chi Minh City. The Temple is built on nine levels that represent nine steps to heaven at which you will see a prayer session at noon. Caodaism is a Vietnamese religion with its philosophy based on Buddhism, Confucianism, Taoism and Christianity. Its tenets include believing in one God, the existence of the soul and the ability to communicate with the spiritual world.
You will stop for about 2 hours to visit Ben Dinh tunnel, a section of the 200 km-long Cu Chi tunnel network that was built over 2 decades and used as an army base during the Vietnamese-American War. You will be amazed at the tunnels with various rooms including trap-door, living areas, storage, weapon factories, field hospitals, kitchen, command centers, etc. You can also fire M-16, AK-47 rifle.
Day 15: Sai Gon-Mi Tho-Ben Tre-Can Tho (B-L-D)
7.45: You will be picked up at the hotel to start your Mekong Delta Tour. My Tho is the closest Mekong Delta City to Saigon where you will see part of the picturesque natural setting of Vietnamese country. This trip includes seeing a floating fish market, crossing the mighty Mekong River by motorized boat, traveling by row boat ride through small creeks to the Mekong river estuary, cruising along the Phoenix island, quiet villages of Ben Tre Province, seeing the manufacturing of handicrafts made from coconut trees, honey bee keeping farm, tropical orchards, tasting honey, tropical fruit, coconut candy, continue your trip to Can Tho for overnight.
Day 16: Can Tho - Sai Gon (B-L)
After breakfast take a boat trip to visit 2 of the most famous floating markets of the Mekong Delta. On the way back, we stop at a vermicelli making shop, rice-husking mill before arriving in Saigon.
Day 17: Sai Gon (B)
Full day free for relaxing, shopping.
Day 18: Saigon - Departure Day (B)
